FPU at Red Bridge is back!

Financial Peace University (FPU) is returning to Red Bridge!  Classes start January 9th January 16th and run for 13 weeks.

“In 13 action-packed lessons, you'll learn how to beat debt, build wealth, find bargains, invest for the future, give like never before, and much more! This information will change your life.” daveramsey.com

Listen to what recent Red Bridge FPU graduates are saying:

“Lindsay and I cannot recommend this class enough.  We took this class last fall and it has been one of the best decisions we have made as a couple. My parents taught me good spending habits but this class taught me so much more about giving, saving, and spending in a proactive way.  This class has taken all of the stress out of money management and we are now debt free except for the house!”

- Reuben James

“I can say that the $1,000 safety net has been a HUGE blessing multiple times whether it be our water heater breaking or crazy car troubles or our furnace going out.  Also, since I had never studied our cash-flow or created a budget, I had no idea how attainable a debt free life really is.  I thought we would be paying off debt for years and years if it hadn't been for FPU.”

- Mark Smedvig

We collected nearly 50 credit card offers during the 13 week FPU class from a handful of the families that attended.  Below is what is their demise.

Money Matters from Proverbs 13

I was reading Proverbs 13 today and I wanted to share some of the financially related topics from there.

4 Lazy people want much but get little,
      but those who work hard will prosper.

 11 Wealth from get-rich-quick schemes quickly disappears;
      wealth from hard work grows over time.

12 Hope deferred makes the heart sick,
      but a dream fulfilled is a tree of life.

22 Good people leave an inheritance to their grandchildren,
      but the sinner’s wealth passes to the godly.

Scripture taken from the New Living Translation (NLT)
